Unilin Insulation welcomes new Technical Specification Manager

We are delighted to welcome Andrea Gormley, who joined the Technical Specification Team at Unilin Insulation in May. Andrea brings over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, including a background in Construction and 23 years working as a Technical Advisor.

Over the course of her career, Andrea has developed extensive, hands-on expertise across some of the most technically demanding areas of building fabric performance, including U-value calculations, condensation risk analysis, tapered roof design, DEAP assessments and thermal modelling. This breadth of knowledge means she’s well placed to support projects at every stage, from early-stage design queries through to detailed technical specification.

Based in Dublin and covering the wider Leinster region, Andrea now works closely with architects, specifiers and construction professionals, helping them navigate the technical detail that goes into getting insulation specification right. Her role centers on supporting projects at the design stage, where early, accurate technical input can make the biggest difference to a project’s outcome.

As part of her role in the Technical Specification Team, Andrea delivers CPD presentations, toolbox talks and product demonstrations, giving construction professionals practical, up-to-date guidance on best practice and helping them build confidence in specifying Unilin Insulation’s product range. Her experience as a Technical Advisor means she’s equally comfortable discussing the finer points of thermal modelling with a design team as she is walking contractors through installation best practice on site.

Andrea’s arrival strengthens Unilin Insulation’s technical support offering across the Leinster region, ensuring architects and specifiers in the area have direct access to experienced, knowledgeable technical guidance throughout the design and specification process.
