Xtratherm MD, Barry Rafferty is quoted in today’s Irish Times (8/12/2021), discussing the recent PV installation at our Navan HQ. 2,214 455W solar modules and eight 100kW Inverters will displace 882,800kwh of grid electricity with renewable electricity every year – delivering enough clean energy to make up 17% of the company’s overall power needs. It will also result in the elimination of the equivalent to 625,625kg of CO2 emissions annually.
This install continues our focus on green energy production from earlier this year where we delivered a 1.6MW rooftop solar array in our Chesterfield UK plant.
This project is part of Xtratherm’s target of being a zero-carbon operation by 2030 as we look to further energy savings across our 4 manufacturing plants in the UK and Ireland. For more information on our Sustainability pledge.
