Xtratherm has invested in a new manufacturing facility in Belgium’s Walloon region. The new factory, which will be operational from next summer, will manufacture and distribute our high performance rigid board insulation products and will create approximately 100 jobs as the new factory gathers momentum. The initial phase of the investment will comprise production and warehousing facilities of approximately 15,000m2, with capacity for future expansion.
An established player in the UK and Ireland, our sales in mainland Europe has grown significantly in recent years. Sales in Europe represented close to 25% of the overall turnover in 2012.
Eoghan Hynes, Founder and Managing Director of Xtratherm comments: “Xtratherm has ambitious growth plans and key mainland European markets such as Benelux, Germany and France are central to these objectives. The new site in Belgium, close to the city of Charleroi, is ideally located with excellent access to main markets. Currently our European customers are supplied from our two state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in the UK and Ireland. In the future the new factory will supply all of Xtratherm’s mainland European customers.”
