Our u003ca href=u0022https://unilininsulation.ie/products/eco360/u0022u003eu003cspan style=u0022color: #f6aa05u0022u003eECO360 range u003c/spanu003eu003c/au003eof insulation products for walls and floors helped achieve A-Rated, energy efficient new builds for Waterford City County Council’s social housing development in Tramore.rnrnThe project comprised of 50 units of housing with a mix of one, two and three-bedroom accommodation with the addition of accessible housing for disabled access.rnrnu0026nbsp;rnrnDesigned by u003ca href=u0022https://www.eml.ie/work/u0022u003eu003cspan style=u0022color: #f6aa05u0022u003eEML Architectsu003c/spanu003eu003c/au003e, the project was constructed by local firm u003ca href=u0022https://nevin.ie/u0022u003eu003cspan style=u0022color: #f6aa05u0022u003eNevin Constructionu003c/spanu003eu003c/au003e and accommodates over 105 residents. The extensive new 50-unit residential project was designed to tie into the first phase of the build with common materials, architecture and landscape.rnrnResidents who already reside in An Garrán in Phase One Housing one housing were previously nominated in the Urban Neighbourhood category in the All-Irelandu003ca href=u0022https://waterfordcouncil.ie/silver-for-residents-of-tramores-an-garran/u0022u003eu003cspan style=u0022color: #f6aa05u0022u003e IPB Pride of Place Awards in 2023u003c/spanu003eu003c/au003e. As Silver medallists in the category, An Garrán was recognised for its community spirit nurturing a safe, inclusive and secure place for families to live.rnrnu0026nbsp;rnrnIn 2021, Waterford City became Ireland’s first Carbon Neutral City. Working in partnership with SETU, the Chambers, the HSE, Large Employers and the general public, the WCCC continue their efforts to reach the Carbon Neutral goal. Waterford City and County Council adopted its u003ca href=u0022https://waterfordcouncil.ie/services/environment/climate-action/u0022u003eu003cspan style=u0022color: #f6aa05u0022u003eClimate Action Planu003c/spanu003eu003c/au003e in February 2024. The plan works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from operations and in the services provided to the people of Waterford.
